Our almsgiving project this year for Lent is to support Farm of the Child. This organization raises money and operates orphanages in Honduras. The mission with our almsgiving project this Lent is to raises $40,000 that will help Farm of the Child renovate four of seven dormitories used to house and educate the children.
In the coming weeks, you’ll be hearing more about our Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) program. We’ll be showing a short video at the end of each mass this weekend, and our CGS catechists will speak about the meaningful impact CGS is having on our MQP community
Happy Candlemas! This day, also known as the Feast of the Presentation, is called such because in the Gospel proclaimed this day, Simeon the Elder says, “[…] for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in the sight of all the peoples: a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for your people Israel.”
Our Celebration of Christmas comes to an end today with the Celebration of the Lord’s Baptism. Today, the Voice of the Father resounds from Heaven and pronounces Jesus the Beloved: “You are my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” (Lk 3:22).
Happy New Year! Father Ken, Mr. Ben and I would like to extend a heartfelt word of gratitude, appreciation and love for all the cards, gifts and food-goodies we received over the Christmas Season.
