Hospitality Ministry

Welcome to all who come to Mary Queen of Peace! Hospitality is a key quality of our Christian life, and at MQP, we are always striving to be more hospitable, welcoming, and kind to others. We do this by being kind to everyone, acknowledging and greeting others, and by introducing ourselves to those we do not know.

Through our Hospitality Ministry…our Greeters, we are passionate about making MQP more hospitable and welcoming.  Hospitality can inspire and create a wonderful place for people to be. 

Are you friendly and passionate about making MQP welcoming and helping others?  Then, Hospitality Ministry may be the place for you!

Hospitality Ministry members’ graciousness and cheerful spirit can make a difference for someone by making them feel welcomed, part of the MQP community, and provide a sense of belonging.  The commitment is flexible and it doesn’t take a lot of time.  For Greeters, just 15 minutes before and after Mass.  If helping at the Information Desk, just 15 minutes after Mass, and, for Hospitality Sundays, 30 minutes to help set up or clean up.  We use the same Ministry Scheduling program as the servers and lectors for Greeters, so you can tell us what Mass you prefer, block out days you are not available, and request substitutes for unexpected conflicts.
