We received this guidance from the CDC regarding COVID-19 guidelines as it applies to mask wearing in school:
Universal indoor masking for all teachers, staff, students, and visitors to K-12 schools, regardless of vaccination status.
In order to follow the recommendation and to ensure consistency between church and school, the following will be in effect at both the church and school until further notice:
- Masks will be required to be worn by everyone aged 5 and older, regardless of vaccination status, while inside our church and school buildings. That includes visitors and vendors.
- Masks may be removed while eating or drinking.
- When approaching for Communion, you may place your hands out to receive the Eucharist, step aside to pull down your mask and put the Eucharist in your mouth, and then replace your mask.
- Masks will be provided to those who do not have a mask.
Please continue to exercise personal responsibility. Please continue to follow proper precautions as outlined by the CDC and the St. Louis County Department of Health.
Thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding as we navigate a return to a full and active participation in the Eucharist!
