Give a Meal a Month (GAMAM) is this weekend. Please consider donating the following items: canned chicken, canned chicken and dumplings, canned soup, dry pasta mixes, and toilet paper. Please drop items off in the Msgr. Lubeley Room by 11 am Sunday, August 25. Items will be sorted and delivered to the St. Wenceslaus parish food pantry in St. Louis City.

Calling All 8th Graders!

Mary Queen of Peace and Our Lady of Lourdes parish (parish school, other private school and  PSR) 8th grade students are invited to attend Cotillion.  Cotillion gives young people instruction and practice in the courtesies that make life more pleasant for them and those around them.  The program encourages young ladies and gentleman to be comfortable together, make new friends and have fun.  Dancing and etiquette are included in each of the five Sunday sessions. Thursday, August 15 is the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, a holy day of obligation. Masses for the holy day will be celebrated at 6:45 am and 8:00 am and at 7:00 pm. The Assumption of Mary is the day Catholics celebrate that the Blessed Virgin Mary, at the end of her earthly life, was taken up, body and soul, into the glory of heaven. So everyone has the opportunity to attend the evening Mass, the campus, including the gym, will be closed from 7 pm to 8 pm on the Holy Day.

Registration is open for the Catechesis of the Good SHephers, a Montessori-based religion program rooted in the Bible and the Liturgy.  Children gather weekly in a specially prepared room, called the Atrium.  The room contains simple, but beautiful, age-appropriate materials.
