Men's ACTS Retreat October 4-6

Congratulations Ben Ridgway from MQP Troop #335 on earning the rank of Eagle Scout! This is the highest honor in Scouting and a true accomplishment as less than 4% of all Boy Scouts attain the rank of Eagle. Ben was a student at Mary, Queen of Peace and is currently a freshman at St. Louis University High School.  For his Eagle project, Ben led a group of Scouts to build three raised garden beds for L'Arche International in Maplewood, MO. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a Montessori-based religion program rooted in the Bible and theLiturgy.  Children gather weekly in a specially prepared room, called the Atrium.  The room contains simple, but beautiful, age-appropriate materials. All men of the parish are invited to join us on Thursday, August 23 for our back-to-school meeting as we welcome the new school year with some of the finest barbecue in the area compliments of Pappy's Smokehouse. Dinner and Refreshments 6 - 7pm Meeting 7 - 8pm School Cafeteria Father John will update us on the State of the Parish as we ring in the new school year with good food and good friends.

Hospitality Ministry Training

Thank you for all who have volunteered to be part of Hospitality Ministry at MQP. We are blessed with those who continue to serve year after year and also for all of the new volunteers who have recently signed up. We will be hosting Hospitality Ministry Training (Refresh) for all volunteers after the 5 pm Masses on Saturday, August 11 and 18, and the 7:30 am, 9 am, and 11 am Masses on Sunday, August 12 and 19. The training will be approximately 10 minutes and includes updates from previous training. MQP Atrium Work Day

Atrium catechists and wonderful volunteers have been working all summer on our Level III Atrium but we need your help to finish strong for the new school year. If you are able to help with an at home project this week in your own time email Ashleigh Keys dkeys2@yahoo.com. We do appreciate your help! We have easy small projects that you can do!  We are having an Atrium work day Saturday August 4 in the atrium at MQP school 8am - noon. Coffee will be served! Men and women young and old are welcome to assist -even for 30-45 minutes! We will be doing everything from assembling furniture to coloring. This is a great job...
