MQP Atrium Needs Assistance

Posted on July 22, 2016 in: General News

Mary Queen of Peace Atrium is gearing up for another year, and the catechists are looking for people to assist in creating materials for this school year. The Atrium is where we do Catechesis of the Good Shepherd: a Montessori style of Catechesis for children, ages 3-9 for both MQP school and non-school children. No artistic ability is required to help with these jobs — just your time! (Although we always do welcome the services of woodworkers, artists & seamstresses!) Materials making will be July 26 at 9:30 am at the home of Ashleigh Keyes (546 Sheffield in Webster). Please RSVP to: sclark@hoffmanclark.com

Thanks to all who attended and helped make our VBS a huge success this past week. We had almost 200 children learning how to follow Jesus, the Light of the World. We could not have done it without all of our adult and teen volunteers and those who contributed items from our Wish List. Thanks to you all! We are still looking for new co-chairs for VBS for next year, so if you feel the calling to lead this wonderful ministry please contact Laura Boeker (ljboeker@hotmail.com) or Suzanne Moore (suzjgau@yahoo.com).

The good news is that our goals can be achieved! Only 32% of the parish has participated, which means there are still many pledge cards outstanding.  If your pledge card is at home, please return your signed card to the parish as soon as possible with your pledge Bill Jochens, our parish ACA Coordinator, will be ...

Is God Calling You?

Posted on July 17, 2016 in: General News

Many times we ask ourselves, "What can I do to help change the world?"  One thing you can do is help children to know and love the Lord.  You do not need a degree in Theology to help them learn about God.  All you need is to share your Love for God and want others to serve others.  Catechists and assistants are needed for the 2016-2017 Parish School of religion (PSR) year.  This is a golden opportunity to help the children of MQP who are seeking to learn about God.  Please stand up and say "Here I Am, Lord" since HE is the one calling YOU!  Please contact Donna Maurer ...
