New MQP Principal!

I am very pleased to announce that the new Principal of Mary Queen of Peace School is Mr. Michael Nieman. Mr. Nieman is presently a middle school teacher at St. Clare of Assisi Parish School in Ellisville, where he has taught for fifteen years. Mr. Nieman has previously taught at St. Catherine of Alexandria School and St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf. He is also a Veteran, having served in the United States Army. On Saturday, May 6, our seminarian Philip Rathinam will be ordained a transitional deacon at the St. Louis Cathedral Basilica by Archbishop Robert Carlson. All are invited to the 10:00am Ordination Mass. Deacon Philip will assist me and preach the homily at the 11:00am Mass here at MQP on Sunday, May 7. Philip will be here through May, but will receive a new assignment this summer as he continues to prepare for his Ordination to the Priesthood next year. Board of Education News

The MQP Board of Ed is looking for several new members for next year. The Board of Education is comprised of school parents, PSR parents, and parishioners without any children in school. Board members customarily serve for 3 years, and meet on the 2nd Monday of each month from August thru June; regular attendance is expected. Board members work with the pastor and principal in an advisory manner on matters of policy related to education programs in the school and parish. Looking for a way to volunteer and do it on your own time?  Making a casserole once a month is an easy way to volunteer and makes a big impact for St. Patrick’s Center. Casseroles are to be dropped off on the 2nd Thursday of every month at the Msgr. Lubeley Room between 7—9:30am. Casseroles need to be frozen, so they can be made anytime during the month!  Recipe and disposable pans with lids are provided.
