Give A Meal a Month This Weekend!

Give a Meal a Month (GAMAM) is this weekend. Please consider donating the following items: canned soups with mean, canned beans (pork 'n beans, baked beans, chili beans), canned meats (chicken, ham, Spam), canned stew, canned chicken 'n dumplings, coffee (regular and decaf), instand hot chocolate and toilet paper. Please drop items off in the Msgr. Lubeley Room by 11 am Sunday, Dec. 22. Items will be sorted and delivered to the St. Wenceslaus parish food pantry in St. Louis City.

If you are still looking for a way to be grateful and generous this Advent season, think about this last minute request from Webster - Rock Hill Ministries, of which MQP is a member. They have 35 families who have not been adopted in their Adopt-A-Family program. You can drop off gift cards ($25 increments are preferred) or a check made out to WHRM at either the rectory or Mary Bufe’s house by 4 pm Friday. The rectory and MQP School have SCRIP gift cards on hand, so you can buy them there too, with a portion going back to MQP, too! Thanks for helping our neighbors in need!

50 + Club Christmas Party

Mary Queen of Peace is hosting our 50+ Christmas party on Monday, December 16th at 6 pm in the Msgr. Lubeley room. We will be singing Christmas carols and providing the main dish and dessert for dinner. Have your children share the joy of generosity this Advent season! The MQP Young Families Group will be accepting gently used/almost new toys from newborn to teen to support Sts. Theresa and Bridget Catholic Church's annual Breakfast with Santa and Christmas Toy Store. Proceeds from the Christmas Toy Store will go towards Sts. Teresa and Bridget's youth ministry programs. Toys will be collected before each morning Mass on Sunday, December 8 outside church under the portico. Please make sure toys are clean!

24 girls and boys teams from parishes throughout the archdiocese play games all day from December 26 to December 30.  MQP volunteers officiate, score and entertain the entire tournament, making this event the MQP Athletic Association's largest annual fund raiser.  At least one of our 4 MQP teams will be playing each afternoon and evening so you are sure to see familiar faces if you come up to watch games.  Hope to see you all there!
