Parish Auction

Invitations & RSVPs

The invitations for the upcoming Auction went out 3 weeks ago and were mailed to every registered parish.  If you haven't received your invitation, please contact Kristen Figge at 409-6436.  Please note that the official deadline for responses is a week from today! Please get your RSVP in now!  We did sell out last time!  AND note that the ticket price increases to $115 after 11/3.

Also, please be sure to fill in all the information on the RSVP card - we need your email and credit card information to get you set up in advance for the online bidding and the Express Pay.  Setting it up in advance saves time at check-in, and allows you to check yourself out via your phone and skip that darn bank line at the end of the evening!

Have a talent or treasure to donate to the Auction?

Do you have a talent, a service, a gift certificate, tickets, a time share, or a treasure to donate? Or, do you own a business or does someone in your family own a business that would purchase an advertisement in the auction program book? The donation form (for a talent, treasure, etc.) can be downloaded at right and should be returned to Sara Buehring at sarabuehring37@gmail.com. The advertising (download right) should be returned to Suzanne Moore at suzjgau@yahoo.comsuzjgau@yahoo.com. Or, just deliver your donation to the office and we'll pick it up! If you have general auction questions or would like to help on an auction committee, contact auction chairperson Kristen Figge.

MQP Wine Cellar

One of the items at the 2016 Mary Queen of Peace Auction will be an Instant Wine Cellar.  We are asking for people to donate a bottle or two of wine ($20 minimum retail price) to grow the cellar.

You may donate your bottle through one of the following options:

  • Visit or call Bob or Mike Gray @ Grapevine Wines, 309 S Kirkwood Rd in Kirkwood.  The phone number is 314-909-7044.  They will keep your donation safe until it is picked up by the Wine Cellar Auction Team.
  • Send a check made payable to MQP Auction and we will select the wine on your behalf.
  • Drop your selection off at the home of Meghan & T.J. Siebenman, 1313 Green Tree Ln, Glendale.  You can also call them at 314-918-7545 to have your bottles picked up at your home.

Please call Meghan or T.J. Siebenman, 314-918-7545, with any questions or email marymeghan@hotmail.com

Fund-A-Need:  A Special Giving Opportunity

Each auction year, we ask for funding for special needs that benefit our Mary Queen of Peace community. This year we are challenged to update our wireless internet connectivity throughout the parish campus.  Wireless technology is commonplace in all business settings today, and such an update will enable new educational practices to emerge, new security systems, and better access for rectory business, parish meetings, retreats and events.  We invite you to consider what donation you can make to this need.  Information will be forthcoming on how to contribute.

Silent Auction

The auction generated over $160,000 for the parish in 2014, and the Silent Auction is a huge part of that  - and anyone can contribute!  We need big & small pieces that can be put together in groupings, baskets, etc.  We're looking for things like: Gift Certificates to local restaurants & shops

  • Passes to local attractions
  • Spa gift certificates
  • Tickets to Cardinals, Blues, Mizzou, etc
  • Sports & music lessons
  • Electronics
  • Kids Activities
  • Bikes & scooters
  • Getaways

Please take a look at the Sign Up Genius list.

If you have any gift cards that have been burning a hole in your pocket, please consider donating them to the auction!  Grab a friend or your neighborhood & see what you can do to help make this a great parish success!

Please contact Sara Buehring with any questions at 314-308-2466.  Thank you in advance for your generosity!
