Peregrine Society

The St. Louis Peregrine Society, organized in 1949, is a local, not-for-profit volunteer organization, which provides care and comfort to cancer patients in need.

The Society is named for the 13th century Italian Missionary, St. Peregrine. The Society offers critical support, free-of-charge, to patients who otherwise cannot afford care. Service programs include: Physicians counsel, medical equipment and supplies, surgical dressings, prescription medications and transportation. In 1990, the Society initiated Children’s Cancer Care, a program that gives children diagnosed with cancer and their families, the opportunity to share special time together through recreational outings.

Our Mary Queen of Peace chapter, organized in 1949, meets on the second Tuesday of every month from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to assemble cancer dressings for area patients.
