Based primarily on the idea that we are all members of a Parish Family, the Parish Help Program is a network of Parishioners helping fellow Parishioners as well as those in our neighborhood.
Among the services provided are cooking, running errands or shopping, emergency child care and visiting the elderly. Meals can be provided to families during times of illness, the birth of a baby or death of a family member. A warm meal and a friendly face saying “I care,” brings so much support to a family during times of illness.
Transportation to and from medical appointments or hospital visits can be arranged through Shepherd Center. Parish Help can run errands or do shopping for those in need. Child care can be provided on a temporary basis during times of illness or other crisis in the family.
Parish Help will arrange for homebound elderly Parishioners to be visited by other Parishioners. We also have a Community Service Directory and can refer people to agencies that provide professional help.
The services of Parish Help are unlimited. Every Parishioner has a talent they can use to help others during times of need. We are simply people helping people. |
