Inclusion Committee

As a result of the 1978 Pastoral Statement on People with Disabilities, each Parish has a Parish Advocate. The goal of the Parish Advocate is to serve as an advocate for the needs of persons with disabilities and their families to the Pastor and the Parish Council.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Work for the full inclusion of persons with disabilities by breaking down the barriers of physical structures, personal attitudes and communication channels.
  2. Act as a resource person for including persons with disabilities in Christian formation and education programs.

Serve as a channel of communication between the Catholic Office of Disability Ministry and the Parish.
