Many Ways to Pray in January

Dear Mary Queen of Peace Parish Family,

This month of January is a time to prayerfully reflect on a handful of critical issues facing our society at the present moment. First, there is the annual Mass for Peace and Justice at the Cathedral on January 18th. Then, there is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 19th followed by a Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children on January 22nd. The week of January 18-25 is the observance of the annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. The scripture readings on January 18th focus our thoughts on the issue of vocations to the ordained ministry and religious life. And January 25th is the beginning of Catholic Schools Week
