94th Anniversary of MQP!

Dear Mary Queen of Peace Parish Family,

The story goes that Father Michael Collins, a pastor in Jackson, Missouri, would often come to visit and stay with some relatives who lived here in Glendale. After some time, Father Collins decided he would request from then-Archbishop Glennon (later a cardinal) that a parish be started in Glendale so that people did not have to go all the way to St. Peter Church in  Kirkwood or to Holy Redeemer Church in Webster Groves.

May the Lord bless you, and our patron, Mary Queen of Peace, pray for you!

“I AM M.Q.P. !” Prayer
Dear Lord,
Mary Queen of Peace Parish is composed of people like me.
I help make M.Q.P. what it is, and what it can be.
It will be friendly, if I am.
It will be holy, if I am.
It will be prayerful, if I pray.
It will do great work, if I work.
Its pews will be filled, if I come and help fill them.
It will reach out to others to worship, if I invite and bring them.
It will do generous ministry, if I am a generous giver.
It will be a parish of loyalty and love,
if I am loyal to it and love all its members.
It will be a parish of compassion, charity, and mercy,
if I am filled with these virtues.
It will be a parish “Closer to God and Closer to One Another”,
if I am.
Therefore, with the help of God, I now dedicate myself to the task
of being all the things I want my parish to be!
For “I AM M.Q.P. !”

Our Mission...

We, the people of Mary Queen of Peace Church, are called by God to live in a community as disciples. Through the sacraments, God nourishes and empowers us to follow the example of our namesake, Mary Queen of Peace. With the help of God's love and grace, our mission is to build up the kingdom of God on earth, bringing our community closer to the Lord and closer to one another as we worship together, educate and serve.
